It is a form a therapeutic work that recognises that we are all different in the way we perceive what happens inside and around us.
Isn't it true that two people can experience exactly the same situation yet interpret it completely different ways? Sometimes we find ourselves stuck in unhelpful patterns of thoughts, feelings and feel we are unable to breakout and move on. Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapy can help in the following ways:
Essentially, it is an investment in yourself to becoming a better version of yourself and towards achieving your goals and a better life.
We practice in London, Chelmsford (Essex) and Sheffield.
This question will be much easier to answer once we have had our first session. The long and short answer is that it really depends on your desired outcomes or goals. That said, you can expect that you will feel as though your goals have been achieved following ten sessions. If it transpires that it will take longer than this, we will have a progress review and agree together the way forward.
Essentially this is up to you, although it is usual to meet every 2 or 3 weeks. The time between each session allows you to reflect on our discussions, to start noticing changes and to begin to experience a new view of the world.
If family or work commitments prevent a regular schedule of sessions we will endeavour to allocate sessions to suit your availability. The regularity of our sessions will influence the efficacy of the work we do together, and sessions held at random or long intervals will be less effective.
The first session comes at no charge as it is mainly designed to discuss your needs. Your therapist will want to learn about your background, general health and lifestyle as well as hearing about the problems or issues you will resolve. In this first session they will listen to you carefully with an open heart and an open mind. It is important that you voice your concerns and questions and talk freely about what is happening in your life. You can be assured that this session will be free of any judgement from your therapist. We offer your first session meeting completely free.
This might be the first time you've been able to talk in such and open and focussed way and the approach may seem a little unfamiliar; this is not unusual. As our session progress you will begin to experience a new outlook on life and aspects of yourself. Some people feel instantly clearer about their issues, whereas some feel a little more confused; either is to be expected.
Confusion always precedes understanding, so in a way, this is all part of the healing and growth process. It can be tiring working on personal issues, so always make sure you look after your own physical needs. You will most likely make significant neurological shifts during our session.
The first session is free! Thereafter your investment is £75 for each 90-minute session.
Everything that takes place in your session with your therapist will remain confidential. Unless we have agreed to inform other people of our work, then the content of what we discuss remains in the session. Dan and Jude will ensure that confidentiality is maintained with any notes or records that they keep.
All therapists at every level are expected to have regular supervision. Both Dan and Jude meet with a supervisor on a regular basis, depending on the amount of client work they are involved in. It is quite possible that they might discuss the work they do with you during their supervision meetings. Doing so ensures the quality of thier service to you. Agreed levels of confirdentiality will always be maintained between your therapist and their supervisor.
Remember, the first session is free! Get in touch now and take a step towards a brighter, better future.
